Vitamiin E contains anti-oxidant qualities which are of great benefit to the skin. Basically, it combines with oxygen and destgroys free radicals that damage the skin, particularly from the sun. Some studies even show that Vitamin E may prevent skin cancer when applied to the skin after sunburn. Internally taking vitamin also benefits the skin for much of the same reason it does topically. Again, Vitamin E couples with oxygen to destroy free radicals from the inside out. Vitamin E also protects the artery walls preventing bad cholestrol from oxidizing and sticking to the artery walls. Taking Vitamin E internally also can help prevent cancer by by stopping precancerous carcinogins from turning into cancer. As applied to the skin, Viamin E comes in oil and creme forms -- my favorite being Jason organics 25,000 IU creme.Be sure that the product you buy is 100% vitaamin E with little else (preferably nothing else)added. it may cost more but it is well worth it in the long run.

CoQ-10

What can CoQ10 do for your skin? Theoretically speaking, CoQ10 (in a skin cream, for example) can be helpful. In most people over thirty, levels of CoQ10 in the skin are below optimum, resulting in lesser ability to produce collagen, elastin and other important skin molecules. Besides, CoQ10-depleted skin may be more prone to the damage by free radicals, which are particularly abundant in the skin since it is exposed to the elements.CoQ10 boosts skin repair and regeneration and reduce free radical damage. Furthermore, CoQ10 is a small molecule that can relatively easily penetrate into skin cells. CoQ10 energizes your skin. Young skin has ample amounts of CoQ10 and so has lots of energy – energy needed to repair damage and make sure the skin cells are healthy and it protects against photo-aging – that means premature aging due to over exposing the skin to the sun. It rejuvenates skin by stimulating skin cell activity. Active skin cells get rid of toxins easily and can make better use of nutrients. When your skin ages, all these processes slow down, causing dull and sallow, wrinkled skin. Boost your skin cell activity for younger looking skin with CoQ10.It also stimulates collagen production. Collagen is the protein that decreases as we age, leading to wrinkles. It is a potent anti-oxidant.

Beauftiful Skin with Retin-A

Retin-A has been used to achieve beautiful, healthy skin for over 20 years. trength formulas. It is available in both over the counter and prescription strength formulas. There are over 300 products containing Retin-A on the market today. What does Retin_A do? In a nutshell, it rejuvenates the skin resulting in a youthful glow. It helps keep skin keep skin vibrant and smooth, improves skin texture and diminishes wrinkles and brown spots. It works to improve texture and fade dark spots and freckles by causing skin cells to turn over more rapidly. It shrinks dilated pores and improves cell turnover within the pores so they are less likely to clog and become blackheads and whiteheads. It also helps with the retention of collagen. Collagen is what gives skin its firmness and elasticity. Repeated sun exposure breaks down collagen and also age causes cells to produce less and less collagen to repair the damage. This causes skin to wrinkle and sag. Retin-A can be found in all drugstores and by prescrition and would be a nice addition to anyone's skincare regimine. A warning, though, some people are sensitive to Retin-A but there are sensetive skin Retin-A products out there as well.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid is a carbohydrate occurring naturally throughout the human body. It has a stiff viscous quality similar to jello. It can be used both inside and on the skin to produce remarkable results. Hyaluronic acid is capable of holding up to 1,000 times its own weight in water, which boosts moisture levels and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid has been shown to maintain hydration, improve elasticity and protect against free radical damage. In the skin, hyaluronic acid is responsible for capturing water, in turn maintaining the smoothness and plumpness of the skin. When hyaluronic acid is depleted, skin can become dehydrated and lose elasticity, which accentuates lines and furrows. Hyaluronic Acid can be found as an ingredient in many products, or on it's own as a concentrated 100% Hyaluronic Acid serum. Dermatologists also inject it into the skin for faster results.

The DMAE skin miracle. Yes, that's right, I said miracle. DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) is an anti-inflammitory substance that, when applied to the skin shows immediate results -- it reduces fine lines and wrinnkles, it works on  the musles under the skin to effet a younger, more toned look.

While results are immediate, they are also cummulaative and over time the skin sags less, deep lines and wrinkles are reduced, skin tone evens out as the face becomes brighter. It also helps to combat the sagging that oten occur around the eyes as we age. It even works on those "old lady bags" as like to call them on the upper arms, firming them up nicely making for a much more  youthful appearance. While DMAE iss not cheap, it is well worth the price and is often included as an ingredient iin many popular skin cremes.
